Man dies following incident in Thurston

A man has died following an incident in Thurston.

Emergency services were called yesterday morning, Sunday 11 January, at just before 7am to reports of single vehicle collision involving a Volkswagen Golf car on Hollow Lane.

The driver of the Golf and the only occupant of the car, a man in his 50s, was found deceased at the scene.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and a file will be prepared for the coroner in due course.

The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
